ประสิทธิภาพการผลิตบัณฑิตสาขาสังคมศาสตร์ ของจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย / ลักขณา วิสิฐศรีศักดิ์ = Production efficiency of graduates in the social sciences of Chulalongkorn University / Luckana Wisitsrisak
The purpose of this research was to study the production efficiency of graduates in the social sciences of Chulalongkorn University which composes of six faculties. The samples were 5,068 four-year program of undergraduate students and 2,348 two-year program of graduates during the academic years 1970 to 1974. The obtained data were analyzed by percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test and confident interval for a mean. Major findings were as follows. (1) There was a wastage in the production of graduates in the social sciences of Chulalongkorn University because the graduates took too much time to complete their program and also because they had drop-out from the university. The expenditure which the government had lost from these two causes were 38,139,324 bhat. (2) The different production efficiency of graduates ratios of almost all faculties which analyzed by using the equal cost per head of graduate in each class and by using the cost per head of graduate in each class from the expenditure that got from the government in each year are not significant except the Faculty of Commerce and Accountancy of undergraduate level. (3) The Faculty of Education had the highest average percentage of students who completed their education within the time limit of program while the Faculty of Law had the highest average percentage of students who dropped out from the university both of the undergraduate students and graduates. (4) The average time to complete the undergraduate and the graduate programs were 4 years and 1 month and 3 years and 3 months respectively. (5) The average cost per head per year of students in the social sciences of Chulalongkorn University during the academic years 1970 to 1981 for the undergraduate and the graduate level were 6,755 baht and 10,382 baht respectively.
