The purpose of this study is to collect a list of all Communication publications and to provide an annotated bibliography as research resources. By showing the number of Communication publications and the needs is each area, the findings can be used as an indicator for encouraging appropriate number of publications and research studies. The study is mainly documentary research on Communication publications published in Thailand between 1983-1989. These titles collected from 12 main universities libraries in Central and regional parts of the country. From the research, it is found that there are totally 696 documents and publications, which are classified as follow : 271 books, 283 thesis, 85 research reports, 25 seminar reports and 32 booklets. Classified by 11 major fields of study, 17.8% of the publications belong to Development Communication, 13.4% Journalism and 12.1 general communication studies the field which has the lowest number of publications is Speech Communication (4.2%). Classified by types ofpublications, books on Film are published the most and Mass Communication the least (2.2%), thesis on Development Communication the most (33.9%) and none on Speech Communication seminar reports on general Communication studies the most (24%) and none on Speech Communication and film, and booklate on Television and Vido the most (18%) and none on Speech Communication.
