บทความนี้กล่าวถึงการพัฒนาระบบผู้เชี่ยวชาญการเลือกระบบปรับอากาศประเภทต่างๆเพื่อใช้กับไมโครคอมพิวเตอร์ 16 บิท ภาษาที่ใช้ในโปรแกรมคือ ภาษาโปรล็อกประเภทของเครื่องปรับอากาศในฐานความรู้ของโปรแกรมมีทั้งสิ้น 9 ประเภท ระบบผู้เชี่ยวชาญเป็นระบบประเภท Production System ซึ่งประกอบด้วย Production Rules ต่างๆ รวมอยู่ในฐานความรู้ สำหรับ Expert System Shell ของโปรแกรมในส่วนที่เป็นกลไกการตัดสินใจเป็นแบบ Backward-Chaining และสามารถที่จะสรุปผลการตัดสินใจได้ในระดับความมั่นใจต่างกัน ซึ่งขึ้นอยู่กับว่าข้อมูลจากผู้ใช้เป็นไปตามเงื่อนไขทุกเงื่อนไขที่อยู่ใน Production Rules หรือไม่ ระบบผู้เชี่ยวชาญที่ได้พัฒนาขึ้นนี้มีปฏิภาคกับผู้ใช้เป็นอย่างดี ทำให้สามารถใช้งานได้ง่าย และเหมาะที่จะนำไปช่วยวิศวกรในการตัดสินใจเลือกเครื่องปรับอากาศประเภทต่างๆ ให้เหมาะสมกับลักษณะของอาคารและวัตถุประสงค์ของการใช้งานได้
The paper describes the development of an expert system for air conditioning system selection. The expert system is for use with an IBM PC/XT. Turbo prolog version of the prolog language has been used. The domain knowledge consists of 9 types of air conditioning units. The expert system is that of the Production System with backward-chaining inference engine capable of concluding at various certainty level depending on whether all the Production Rules have been satisfied. The user interface is very comprehensive and does not require any special commands. Thus, this expert system is very suitable for any air conditioning engineers for the consultation of air conditioning system selection.
