The purposes of this research are to 1) analyze the current states and problems of human resource management of private higher education institutions and the future states of human resource management of private higher education institutions in the next two decades. 2) analyze trends in human resource management of private higher education institutions in the next two decades. 3) propose human resource management strategies of private higher education institutions in the next two decades. The samples include 1) 34 private higher education institutions by the contributors of 136 the rectors, vice-rectors for administration, human resource management committees including deans or vice-deans for administration of science and technology, health sciences, social sciences and humanities. 2) 15 the rectors or vice-rectors for administration or assistants to the rector for administration. 3) 5 human resource executives of business organizations 4) 8 experts for focus group. The research instruments include the content analysis form, interview form, survey form, questionnaire and form for validation of (draft) strategies. Meanwhile, the content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, SWOT, IFAS, EFAS, SFAS, strategic factor radar chart and TOWS Matrix. The research results can be summarized as follows:1. The current states of human resource management of private higher education institutions are found that overall current state is at the intermediate level. In term of individual aspect, private higher education institutions prioritize at the high level on training and human resource development. Private higher education institutions prioritize at the intermediate level on job participation and organizational engagement, human resource planning or manpower planning, performance evaluation, recruitment and selection, human resource retention or compensation management, respectively. For the future states of human resource management of private higher education institutions in the next two decades are found that overall future state is at the high level. In term of individual aspect, private higher education institutions prioritize at the high level on all of human resource management aspects. The most high aspect is job participation and organizational engagement.2. Trends in human resource management for private higher education institutions in the next two decades comprise of 12 human resource planning or manpower planning trends, 13 recruitment and selection trends, 14 human resource retention or compensation management trends, 14 training and human resource development trends, 12 job participation and organizational engagement trends and 10 performance evaluation trends.3. The proposed human resource management strategies of private higher education institutions in the next two decades consist of the vision, missions, 6 strategic themes "H A P P I E". The themes include 1) Holistic HR Planning 2) Aggressive Recruitment 3) Professional Retention 4) Productive Learning & Development 5) Integrating Participation and Engagement 6) Effective Performance Evaluation. There are 23 goals, 26 tactics, 68 indicators and 76 projects/activities.
