It was the purpose of this study (1) construct a microteaching Model on “ Story Telling” by a ½ inch videotape as a partial mean of student teacher’s skill practice, (2) provide a handbook of the model for its practical use, and (3) evaluate the quality and efficiency of the constructed model. Procedure : After relevant information from various sources was preliminary investigated, a model script was written for the videotape production. The produced 1 inch videotape was later duplicated to a ½ inch. Eight validating committee members were appointed to certify the quality of the model. Then 30 elementary major students randomly selected as an experimental group, were given the pre-test. Ten days after their pretest, the constructed model was played back to be viewed by the students. Then the post-test was given. The average tasting scores were then statistically computed and compared at the 0.01 level. Results : .Analysis of data for this experiment allows the following conclusions to be made: 1.The good quality level was certified by the validating committee. 2.Significant differences in learning achievement of the sampling group was found at the 0.01 level; therefore it is assumed that each student had gained more “ Story Telling” skill. Suggestions : 1.A logical follow-up to this study could be and experiment to test the effectiveness of a skill model in and teacher training program. The control group would directly view live classroom lessons while the experimental group would receive identical instruction via skill models. 2. Every teacher’s education institution in Thailand should establish microteaching clinic for improving teaching and learn strategies. 3.The models should be made in 16 m.m. film more effective and widely uses.
