Purposes of the study 1. To study the structure of educational administrative system of secondary school in the educational region 6. 2. To study the educational administrative tasks of secondary schools in the educational region 6, especially in the areas of public relations, academic, personnel, student affairs and business administration. 3. To study the problems concerning the structure of educational administrative system of secondary schools in the educational region 6, and those concerning the five educational administrative tasks. Methodology The population used in this research consisted of administrators, teachers and the students’ parents whom related to the secondary schools in the educational region 6. Sixty percent of the provinces in that region 6 were selected as the sample by the method of simple random sampling. Fifty percent of secondary schools in each province was drawn out to be sample by the same method. The techniques of observation, interviewing and questionnaires were used to collect data from the sample. The percentage, arithmetic mean and standard diviation were used to analyses and compare the data. Finding 1. Most secondary schools in the sixth educational region have similar structure of educational administrative system. They are organized by means of combination of line and staff form of structure. The principals stand for the highest responsibility in school. There are assistant principals to take care of academic, business and student affairs. In some medium and large schools there are consultant committee to assist the principals in some areas of administration such as committee on academic of fairs, committee on school management. The personnel who are responsible in the field of service areas, in some small and medium school, are appointed from teachers to take care of but in some medium and large schools utilized the specialist to function such as guidance, audiovisual and library personnel etc.
2. According to the point of view of all population, the educational administrative tasks of the secondary schools are functioned at low level in all five areas. When comparing the levels, the result is respectively as follow personnel and business administration, student affairs, academic administration and public relations. According to the administrators’ point of view concerning educational administrative tasks in school, personnel is of the most function, but academic, student affairs, business administration and public relations, are performed respectively at the low level. According to the teachers’ point of view, those five area tasks are all performed respectively at the low level: personnel, academic, student affairs, business administration and public relations. According to the parents’ point of view, business administration, personnel, student affairs and academic administration are performed respectively high level, but public relations is still at low level. 3. The problems related to the administrative structure are similar in most secondary schools. They are associated with the result of the administrative organizational structure and the five administrative area tasks.
