The objective of this independent study is to develop a business plan for an online car insurance broker in Thailand. The online car insurance broker is an online platform which provides a variety of insurance policies from leading insurance companies and allows customers to compare, buy, and get insurance policy cover within minutes. There are many factors to support this business such as unsaturated car insurance market, vehicle sales increase, internet users increase, digital payment trend, and risk aversion of people. The analyzes of competitors, primary, and secondary customer behavior are performed to evaluate the present market. It shows that the car insurance market is unsaturated and still growing. Moreover, in 2018 vehicle sales increased by 19.2 percent. To understand customers’ needs, the customer survey had collected 185 responses from Thai citizens who own a car in Thailand. From the study, the most important factor to choose a car insurance company is the reliability of the firm. The most satisfying complimentary gift is free petrol card. The company conducts the marketing plan, operational plan, in conforming with the customer needs from the survey. Lastly, the financial study summarizes that the company business plan is feasible for five years of operation between 2020 and 2024. The financial analysis concludes that the company is profitable with a payback period in 4.08 years and internal rate of return of 21%.
