This Research of Representations of Mae Nak inThai Literature aims to study the representations of Mae Nak in Thai Literatures written between 2442 B.E. till 2556 B.E. and also how narrative techniques and socio-cultural factors; the belief of ghost and perspective towards women, are uaed or involved to represent Mae Nak representations. The researcher studied 20 literary works of Mae Nak, which could be divided into 2 categories; literary work for reading and performance. The Representation theory was mainly used in this research to differentiate each representations of Mae Nak while Discourse theory and Narratology were used to analysis the process of each representations and so the difference between each of them. It was found that there were many of representations of Mae Nak in three stages of her life; Human, Ghost and Final stage. This was because MaeNak was a character in literature, so it was always constructed to serve the purpose of the literature. The popularity of literatures in different times, Concept about ghost and women were also affected how Mae Nak was represented inliteratures. Therefore, Mae Nak in Thai literatures wak not a reflection of the Mae Nak in the local legend, but a representation which wak methodically constricted to serve some purposes.
