The objective of this independent study is to indentify the competitive advantage of Thai organic young Namhom coconut water compare to other coconut water export countries, the export opportunity to Australia where has opposite consuming season to other high demand countries in northern hemisphere, and to formulate a business plan, marketing plan, operational plan, production plan and financial plan to penetrate Australian market. The study is to research through survey on potential demand and consumer behavior, and analyzing through the market situation and found that the mentioned product has been well accepted by target consumers, but there are very few brands available in the market.
There is a good opportunity to enter this market in this organic premium product as Sports Drinks segmentation. The selected enter mode is exporting, which is using the existing resources in the company to penetrate this new market; where as no additional investment is required. The result of financial evaluations has shown that the project will gain a profit of proximately AUD 66,000 in the first year and increase to AUD 1.26 Million in the fifth year in the base case. Even in the worst case, this project can expect for a profit of proximately AUD 16,000 in the first year, which is still an acceptable profit to initiate the project.
