Myanmar is a nation of 53 million people where the country is becoming more and more open in recent years and is expected to continue to be more open in the future. The economic growth of Myanmar is expected to grow at a rate significantly higher than most developed and developing nations. The number of middle class is expected to increase sharply in the coming years along with improvement in the standard of living for people.
The level of existing players in various industries currently is considered low meaning the level of competition will not be so intense when compared to other nations and so early movers can now gain early movers advantage. Gas stove is used for cooking and is considered an essential product for every household. It is expected that as people earn more, the standard of living improved,
people will shift from coal to gas stove. This study helps analyse whether Chalawan gas stove company should export gas stove products to Myanmar by examining important elements including Myanmar market in general, consumer behavior, existing players etc then formulate a business plan including appropriate entry mode, product selection, demand planning, marketing and financial forecast etc. The results show high probability of success and therefore Chalawan should expand to Myanmar
