SUMMARY
The purpose of this study is to analyze international tourists’ preference of a tourist SIM card. The outcome of this study will be used for a product development. This research studied about factors influencing international tourists to buy a tourist SIM card, tourists’ expectation of a tourist SIM card and additional feature that tourist prefer on the product. This study also studied about tourist’s behavior on Smart phone by assisting of the tourist SIM card while they were travelling in Thailand. The study about behavior was used as supporting data. This survey was conducted by using the questionnaire as a survey to correct the data from international tourists who visited Thailand. Totally 204 sets of questionnaires were distributed. The data was analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Science) version 20.0.
This study used Statistics methods as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, conbach’s alpha, T-test, ANOVA and chi-square. The result of this study shows that most of the respondents age between 23-32 years old which categorized as Gen Y. Most of respondents are Easterner who visited Thailand for leisure purpose and stay in Thailand between 1-7 days. They travelled with group of friends. The study indicated that tourists always used their Smart phone while travelling. For the study about a tourist SIM card, tourists prefer to use the product because they emphasize all-time connected with the internet. Moreover, tourists expect the product to have lower price. Tourists’ behavior was focused on contacting through application. As conclusion, the result of this study will be a guideline for Telecommunication Company to develop a product of a tourist SIM card, in order to meet customers’ expectation and increase circulation.
