The Business Plan for Rabbitat Hostel aims to develop a hostel project at Phayathai, Bangkok. The study has proposed the industry trend, business environment, competitor information, consumer behavior and SWOT analysis (Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat) for corporate strategies. The competitive advantages and strategic directions to achieved the corporate’s goals are also provided. The result from business environment and competitors’ data shows that both direct and indirect player in this industry are very competitive. However, tourism industry in Thailand and Southeast Asia continues growing. Moreover, the government policy and the trends of consumers’ behaviors suggest good opportunities in the hostel business.
With an initial investment of 2.70 billion baht, a marketing plan, designed to serve customers’ need in every touch point, and a systematic operation plan will generate net present value around 3.03 million baht with internal rate of return of 30% and the payback perios of three years. The sensitivity analysis also shows that the project still has a profitable performance in every year even in the bad situation. Moreover, it also has a positive net present value with 12% of the internal rate of return. It can therefore be concluded that the project is feasible for implementing in this industry in Thailand.
