การประยุกต์ใช้ Lean ในกลุ่มกระบวนการปิดฝาของผลิตภัณฑ์ทรานซ์มิตเตอร์ / เอกชัย ธนากอบกิจ = Lean application on seam sealing process for transmitter process / Ekachai Thanakobkit
The objectives of this study were to apply the Lean manufacturing technique in the process of problem analysis in the aspect of production management and look for the opportunities to improve the production line at Fabrinet Company Limited. The research methodology started from scanning the company environment and observed the process flow of Transmitter line. This study used both the primary and secondary data. The populations of this study were the 1,679 units of product which produced in June 2011 (these presented the process before implementing of Lean manufacturing) and the 2,445 units of product which produced in February 2012 (these presented the process after implementing of Lean Manufacturing). The efficiencies of the process before implementing of Lean Manufacturing were compared to the process after implementing of Lean Manufacturing. The two measurements of efficiency were lead time and productivity. These measurements were used in data analysis of non-parametric hypotheses testing. The result of this study revealed that after the implementation of Lean manufacturing technique, the Seam Sealing process of Transmitter operation department reduced total lead time from 17.17 hours in June 2011 to 11.78 hours in February 2012. The finding also showed that after the implementation of Lean Manufacturing, the Seam Sealing process line can increase productivity from 2.86 units per 1 direct labor hour in June 2011 to 8.73 units per 1 direct labor hour in February 2012.
