With the growing life expectancy in Thailand, Thai citizens are becoming more and more health conscious. To support this growing need, Thai health care providers are evolving to increase accessibility and convenience. Drugstores, in particular, have evolved in many ways and led to drugstores with many different characteristics. Although they all sell similar products, consumers still select their drugstores differently. Therefore, this research has been conducted to learn the factors that influence drugstore selection and purchasing behavior. Questionnaires were collected from 251 Thai citizens in Bangkok to gather demographic, behavior and attitude information Statistical analysis indicates that different gender has no effect on drugstore selection and purchasing behavior. In contrast, these four factors show significant difference: (1) Age range affects purchasing behavior. (2) Education level affects drugstore choice. (3) Occupation affects drug store selection and tendency to buy additional products. (4) Income level also affects both drugstore selection and purchasing behavior. In addition, consumers who select different drug stores have different attitudes towards drug stores. However, overall, consumers give priority to accessibility. Drugstores with many branches and convenient parking are preferred. Another factor is a reasonable trade-off between quality and price.
