The objectives of this independent study were: (1) to study competency model of marketing resource of Tiger Jewelry Manufacturing (Thailand) Ltd (2) to study human resource development via marketing self-assessment and assessment from supervisor and (3) to develop human resource development plan. The study was separated into 2 parts; they were: (1) the study of competency model conducted through job analysis, situation analysis and in-depth interview; and (2) the study of human resource development conducted through self competency assessment and supervisor assessment; the competency gap for each competency was analyzed and the competency development plans were identified. The results of the study showed competency model for human resource in marketing department and competency gaps for each personal were identified. The competency mostly lacked by marketing people was listening competency and involvement in organization. The individual human resource development plan for marketing department was also recommended.
