กลยุทธ์การบริหารหลักสูตรการจัดการโรงแรมระดับ 5 ดาวเพื่อผู้จัดการทั่วไป / พันธุ์พัฒน์ กัลยา = Administration strategies of five-star hotel management programs for general managers / Panpath Kanlaya
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the current condition weakness strength opportunity and threat of hotel management programs and administration hotel management programs in Thailand 2) to study the expected condition of hotel management programs and administration hotel management programs 3) to propose administration strategies of five-star hotel management programs for general managers using mixed methodology research. Unit of analysis in qualitative study were 68 government and private universities and/or colleges in Thailand, which are providing hotel management program in Thai and/or English. These targets open teaching at least 4 years. 116 samples were collected from the directors, committees, division heads, department heads, and hotel management lecturers, using questionnaires to survey the current condition weakness strength opportunity and threat of hotel management programs and administration hotel management programs in Thailand and the expected condition of hotel management programs and administration hotel management programs. Data was analyzed using frequencies, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. To formulate strategies by using SWOT analysis technique. Then the strategies were examined by interview expertise in educational administration, five-star hotel’s general managers, five-star hotel’s owners, and people who use these out puts. The strategies were examined once again by using focus group technique. The research findings were summarized as follows: 1. The overall and each aspect of current state of hotel management programs was at moderate level ( 3.37). The average aspect was as follows: curriculum’s contents and learning experiences was at moderate level ( 3.42), curriculum’s objective was at moderate level ( 3.37 ), and curriculum’s evaluation was at moderate level ( 3.37). The overall of current state of administration of hotel management programs in Thailand was at high level. There were 3 high levels and 1 moderate level by individual aspect respectively in lecturer and supporting team was at high level ( 3.91), curriculum’s quality and teaching & learning management assurance was at high level ( 3.70), teaching & learning resources and management was at high level ( 3.62), and lecturer’s development was at moderate level ( 3.29). 2. The overall and each desirable of hotel management programs was at high level ( 4.22). The high aspect was as follows: curriculum’s objective was at high level ( 4.22), curriculum’s evaluation was at high level ( 4.22), and curriculum’s contents and learning experiences was at high level ( 4.21). The overall desirable of administration of hotel management programs in Thailand was at high level ( 4.49). There were 1 very high level and 3 high levels by individual aspect respectively in lecturer and supporting team was at very high level ( 4.66), teaching & learning resources and management was at high level ( 4.48), the curriculum’s quality and teaching management assurance was at high level ( 4.42) and lecturer’s development was at high level ( 4.40). 3. Proposed administration strategies of five-star hotel management programs for general managers, consists of 4 major strategies, 10 minor strategies and 17 methods. The major strategies were as follows: 1. Innovative five-star hotel management programs for general managers. 2. New generation lecturer for five-star hotel management programs. 3. Lifting the instructional and management. 4. International standard quality assurance.
