The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of core stability training on lower back strength and crawl swimming performance in young male swimmer. The subject were 20 swimmers from Bangkok Christian College by purposive sampling. They were divided equally into two groups by simple random sampling. The experimental group trained by using program core stability training 3 days per week combined with regular training and the control group trained by using regular training. Both groups were trained for 8 weeks. The data of lower back strength and swimming performance of all groups were taken before experiment, after the 4 weeks and 8 weeks. The obtained data were analyzed in terms of mean and standard deviation, one way analysis of variance with repeated measures and multiple comparison by the LSD method, correlation analysis and comparison different mean by t-test independent at the .05 level of significance. The results revealed that : 1.After 4 weeks and 8 weeks of experiment, lower back strength and swimming performance in the experimental groups was significantly better than before training at the .05 level. 2.After 8 weeks of experiment, lower back strength in the experimental groups was significantly correlated with crawl swimming performance. 3.After 4 weeks and 8 weeks of experiment, lower back strength in the experimental groups was significantly better than control group at the .05 level. 4.After 4 weeks and 8 weeks of experiment, 30-meter crawl swimming performance in the experimental group and control group were no significantly different at the .05 level. Conclusion: Core stability training can increase lower back strength
