The objectives of this research are to study the Perception of Role and Identity of Hosts of a Science Television Program. The study was conducted using both quantitative and qualitative research methods as well as analysis of content and format in programs. For the qualitative research, the study sources were from video recording. For the quantitative research, 400 people with different educational and career background were asked to fill in questionnaires to collect data. Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation and Chi-Square were used to analyze this data. The data was analyzed by SPSS program. The results of the study are as follows: The most common role of the science host is to open and run a TV program. The most common identity of the science host is dresses in formal and polite clothes. The role of the science host is giving scientific knowledge answering and giving questions. The important factors in determining the role of science host is genre and type of television program. People that have non-science career backgrounds will differently perceive the style and appearance of the host. They do not focus on the educational background or experience of the host because they give comments that science knowledge can go further without any science educational background. People with non-science background for science both career and education can perceive the role and identity of the science host better than people with a science educational background and people with a science career.
