The objective of this special project is to study the feasibility of hydroponics vegetables business in Thailand. The plan is set for 5 years with initial investment 2,054,400 Baht. This feasibility study includes marketing, technical & operation and financial plans. The study conducts in both internal and external environments; Competitive and operation environment (Five forces Model and Industry Life Cycle) together with Competitor analysis, Customer analysis, Segmentation, Targeting and Positioning of product. The result from this analysis will be determined the potential of setting hydroponics business. In the study, the farm will plant 5 types of fancy salad in 360 square meters. The planting area will apply NFT (Nutrient Film Technique) and DRFT (Dynamic Root Floating Technique) system to grow the products with capacity of 8,474 kilograms per year. The finished products will be available in 4 types; whole salad, mixed salad (ready to eat) mixed salad set (ready to eat) and promotion set. The products will be distributed into 2 channels; our own exclusive shop & delivery 70% and the supermarket 30%. The feasibility shows attractive financial results; net profit after tax 32%, payback period of 2.10 years, the internal rate of return (IRR) of 29.72% and the net present value (NPV) of THB 531,040
