This Independent study presents the feasibility study of a drug store business in Phahurat market.The objective is to investigate into various aspects of marketing , operational management and finance . The analysis of the market survey using 100 questionnaires reveals that there is sufficient demand for a new drug store in the studied area.There seems to be no existing competitors who have positioned themselves as professional, that is, putting emphasis on drug counseling by a pharmacist as well as keeping track records of customers’ drug consumption. The study tends to be feasible in the technical and managerial aspect , since the operator of the drug store is a pharmacist who has background knowledge on community pharmacy management, such as preparation of all necessary documents, medicine stock management, including knowledge on drug information itself. As for the financial aspect, the project requires initial cash investment costs of 600,000 baht. It will be funded totally by equity, the cost of which is 10 %. Under the base case, the project will payback within 25 months and has the NPV of 776,607 baht and IRR equals 48%. A scenario analysis has been carried out and it is found that even under the worst case where the number of customers decreases by 20% the NPV and IRR of the project are 120,243 baht and 16% respectively and it would paybacks in 3.77 years From the analysis of all aspects aforementioned, it can be concluded that this project of opening up a drug store in Phahurat market seems feasible.
