สภาพและปัญหาการดำเนินงานการจัดการศึกษาระดับอนุบาลของโรงเรียนเทศบาลนครสังกัดองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น / ขนิษฐา มะปะโท = State and problems of education operation in pre-primary level of the municipal schools under local administrative organization / Kanita Mapato
The objectives of this research were to study state and problems of education operation in pre-primary level of the municipal schools under Local Administrative Organization. The study covered 4 areas: the education administration, teaching staff, the relationship between a school, families, a community and student. The research findings were based on questionnaire, interviewing, observation and surveying forms collected from 132 administrators and 286 teachers. The results of the research: 1) The education administration: Administrators coordinated and solved the problems of pre-primary schools in the same municipal. The school early childhood curriculum was made by teachers after school curriculum planning meeting. Building and instructional materials used by pre-primary schools were appropriate for children. The early childhood education curriculum and hand book was studied and performed by teachers. The classroom had a block center and outdoor learning spaces 2) Teaching staff: the administrators encouraged teachers to educate and mentally develop on the needs of individual children The municipals select and trained teachers with the schools under local administrative organization. Principal of assessment was carried out based on observation and recordings. Lunch and snack menu had a total of 5 nutrition food groups specific for children and first aid kits provided by school. Teachers developed children’s movement through the creation of rhythm activities. Teachers gain additional knowledge through self study. Teachers assessed children by recording and tracking documents on their development, weight and height in every 3 months. The children were taught personal hygiene and washed their hands after activities. 3) The relationship between a school, families and a community: the parents encouraged their children to follow local culture and the schools involved in community activities. Teachers arranged local learning place for children. The teachers held meet-the-parents sessions in the morning and afternoon. The level of parent participation in school activities were discussed 4) Student: the administrators expected the children to be happy; healthy both mentally and physically, have good social skills and ethics. Administrators advocated the teachers to provide children learn by themselves, so administrators join with children when they had the chance, Teachers expect the children to be able to move their body well and balance with a cheerful disposition. Teachers were meeting the parent in the morning and afternoon, and care children’s routine. The following areas of concerns were found during the study: the budget allocated was lower than the school actual expenses, no implementation of early childhood school curriculum, insufficient playing equipments in playgrounds and instructional materials, Teachers were not enough and low parents participation rate in school activities.
