The purposes of this research were: 1. to compare mathematics problem solving ability of eighth grade students before and after being taught by organizing learning activities using creative problem solving process. 2. to compare mathematics creative thinking of eighth grade students before and after being taught by organizing learning activities using creative problem solving process. 3. to study learning behaviors and process of eighth grade students learning by using creative problem solving process. The participants were 50 eighth grade students from Sirindhorn School, Surin province in academic year 2009. The experimental instrument composed of lesson plans using creative problem solving process and the research instruments were the mathematics problem solving ability test, creative thinking test, and behavioral observation. The quantitative data were analyzed by using means of arithmetic mean, standard deviation, and t-test. The qualitative data were analyzed by using content analysis. The research results revealed that: 1. After the students were taught by using creative problem solving process, they had higher mathematics problem solving ability at .05 level of significance. 2. After the students were taught by using creative problem solving process, they had higher mathematics creative thinking at .05 level of significance. 3. After the students were taught by using creative problem solving process, their mathematics problem solving ability and creative thinking were gradually improved.
