To study ways of communication among b-boy dancers to gel together into a group; to study the role of communication in gelling into a group; and to analyze the relationship between the role of communications and identity creation of b-boy dancers in Thailand, in the concept of the role of communications in the identity creation and presentation of a subculture and concept of group communications. Research was completed by special interview, investigation, information conversation and paper document research. The study finds that the demographic characteristics of b-boy dancers in Thailand are: 1) Age 10-35 years 2) Gender: both male and female 3) Occupation: various 4) Education: primary school to undergraduate level 5) Economic status: average-to-middle and average-to-low 6) Domicile: public sphere and social network sphere, nationwide. Analysis in the concept of the b-boy dancer subculture group indicates the origin of the b-boy dancer, motivation for dancing, practice period, size of group, b-boy network, pre-member and post-member attitudes, dancing goals. There are 4-forms of communication within a b-boy dancing group: people communication, innovative communication, activity communication and mass media communication. The b-boy identity is shown in 2-ways: language and non-language. Language generally refers to spoken word, idiom, alias and song. Non-language composes clothes and accessories, body language, dance-movements and location, but their most outstanding identities are personal dancing ability and identity marker as a performer. Communications between the b-boy dancer group and among b-boy dancers and the public are achieved through 5-media outlets; opinion leaders, news media, activity media, object media and mass media. Four communications roles are involved as follows: 1) Surveillance 2) Relationship 3) Identity 4) Diversion. In addition, research shows that the b-boy dancer group supports ancient religious activities. In daily life and context concentration It also seeks to be accepted socially and to be negotiable, to emphasize membership identity and purpose of participating in dance performances in public.
