The objectives of this research were (1) to study the type of communication in creating and maintaining sub-culture cos’play (2) to study the type of communication in creating both the physical space and the space in the media (3) to study the attitudes of cos’play members and outsiders towards the use of public sphere for the presentation of cos’play culture. Qualitative research methods i.e., in-depth interview, observation and documentary research were employed The result of this research shows that the presentation of cos’play sub-culture in physical space is mainly linked to business unit. For the space in media; in case of the mainstream media such as television or print media, is linked to business unit as well. In the alternative media, the role of cos’play members is varied. In businessowned media, cos’play members could be only audiences. Another important characteristic of Thai cos’play sub-culture fond in this research is the selective adoption. Though Thai cos’play members imitate this culture from the foreign country, they selectively chose only some well-accepted attributes in Thai society. According to the attitude toward the use of public sphere, both cos’play members and outsiders think it is a good idea for the availability of public sphere for this subculture to express their passion and the ability.
