To study whether (a) the movement against the privatization of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), that occurred after the economic crisis in 1997 are formed by transmutation of the interest groups or not. And if so, what are the main causes and how its transform? (b) In which strategies and tactics that the movement was used and how it has dynamically active (c) the movement has caused any impacts on the achievement goals and how. The results showed that the Movement against the privatization of EGAT, after the economic crisis in 1997, is formed by the difference groups of interests. Moreover, due to the limitations of the Labour Unions of Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (LUEGAT), the policy of the political system, and the governmental structure, LUEGAT. Has transformed to be a social movement group with the goal of expanding networks and link with other actors in the social. After a process of social movement transmutation, the movement adopts their motion through the conventional way, such as using the tactics of the campaign to create a mass movement, present a petition to the Court and prosecution and mixture strategies. However, the prosecution strategy was the final tactic that the movement was successfully used to stop the process of privatization EGAT.
