การลดพฤติกรรมติดเกมออนไลน์ของเยาวชน : กรณีศึกษาผู้ผ่านการอบรมจากศูนย์ป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาเด็กติดเกม สถาบันสุขภาพจิตเด็กและวัยรุ่นราชนครินทร์ / ดวงพร หุตารมย์ = The reduction of juvenile's online game addiction : a case study of the participants of the Center of Game Addict Prevention, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Rajanagarindra Institute / Duangporn Hutarom
The objective of this research was to study supportive and obstructive factors contributing to the reduction of online game addiction behavior of juvenile who participated in the family and juvenile's capacity development program, arranged by the center of game addict prevention. This research used both quantitative and qualitative research methodology, including participatory observation and in-depth interview. The researcher found the main reason that the 54 samples started to intensely played online games was their parents. Their parents believed that computer could entertain their children, and computer skill will improve the chance of their children's career path. The second reason was the game itself game provided challenge and bond both between players and games and among player themselves. Persuasion among friends was the third reason, followed by media. Supportive factors that helped reduce addiction behavior were 1) the juveniles themselves and 2) the program. Obstructive factors were 1) Community environment. When there were online game shop in the neighborhood, it was harder for juvenile to quit playing games. 2) The games themselves. While online, players could do anything they wished, including constructing their own uniqueness. 3) Family factor, single parents could not correct their child rearing techniques. And 4) Friends, players were accepted and was a part of the old group of friends who were also addicted. Family's role that support the reduction of addiction were 1) to find a hobby for the juvenile 2) not to use emotion in solving problem 3) get rid of online games environment and 4) to introduce discipline and responsibility in the family.
