The objectives of this survey study were threefold: (1) to examine the relationship between corporate image, perceived service quality, perceived fit, and attitude toward the extension, (2) to examine the relationship between perceived service quality, perceived fit, and attitude toward the extension, and (3) to compare the relationship between the different levels of perceived fit and attitude toward the extension. Questionnaires were used to collect data from 403 men and women, aged 20-45 years old in Bangkok. Discount store and fast food restaurant were chosen as the representatives of tangible, possession processing service and tangible, people processing service, respectively. The findings illustrated that corporate image was partially, positively correlated with perceived service quality, perceived fit, and attitude toward the extension. Similarly, perceived service quality was positively correlated with perceived fit and attitude toward the extension partially. Meanwhile, as tested, high and low levels of perceived fit were significantly related to consumer’s attitude toward the extension.
