Besides, the offenders to this crime can be medical professional, healthcare provider, insured and others. In Thailand, there is no particular criminal law against offenses relating to healthcare system. Only few items of the current penal code and some other laws relating to such action maybe considered applicable when such offenses take place. The study shows that the existing laws have limited application for the offence. Certain forms of crime against healthcare system or their punishments are not suitable to the Thai situation. Unlike the laws in the United States where there are more specific provisions in the criminal law of every state. Accordingly, Thailand should initiate the enactment of specific criminal provisions to combat crime against healthcare system. Such enactment should cover the whole range of offences and determine suitable punishment and should be added to the existing penal code. This can make the enforcement of law concerning this matter more efficient and thereby reduce crime against healthcare system.
