บทบาทของครอบครัวในการดูแลผู้ป่วยยาเสพติด : ศึกษากรณีการบำบัดฟื้นฟูสมรรถภาพแบบเข้มข้นทางสายใหม่ (Fast Model) ในสถาบันธัญญารักษ์ / พวงมณี เชาวพ้อง = Roles of families in treating drug addicts : a case study of The New Road Concentrated Physical Restoration Programme (Fast Model) at Thanyarak Institute / Paungmanee Chovapong
The purposes of this research were to analyze the social changes which effected families in treating drug addicts by using fast model at Thanyarak institute, Pathumthani province to study the expected roles and actual roles of families in treating drug addicts and to study the relationships between families and drug addicts in the period that members of families got involve in treating drug addicts while they were in this programme. This research was conducted by using theory of role, role of family in socialization concept and social changes concept. Non-participant observation as well as in-depth interview with family members who treated drug addicts in this programme at Thanyarak institute were introduced to this research. Twelve study cases were recommended by Thanyarak institute’s staffs. It was found from the research that social changes resulted in minimizing Thai families to single-family, members of family treated drug addicts, mostly, had close relation and could spend time with drug addicts more than others member in the family. Participating of family members in treating drug addicts by themselves increasing the good relationship with the drug addicts. Family was found to be significant in helping drug addicts stop using drug. Moreover this research enlightened the roles of families in treating drug addicts in order to create understanding among family members and lead to the proper way in treating them.
