The study finds show that development of Thai Hip Hop music can be divided into 4 periods : 1) The period which “Rap” singing style being applied within Thai pop song (1985-1991), The aim of this adoption is to make music sound exotic. 2) The first appearing of rap music in Thai pop music (1992- 2001), “TKO” is first Thai Rap group artists. Then, “Joey Boy” has made rap music known broader, especially to Thai urban teenagers. 3) The period of underground Hip Hop (2000-2002) many hip hop songs have emerged in the form of underground music, “Dajim" was charged for producing and distributing the songs which contain obscene words. เท the same year, “Thai Hop Gancore Club" was organized for hip hop fans at Siam Square. As a result, Hip Hop culture becomes popular as newly alternative way of expression Thai teenagers, and 4) Thai Hip Hop music as a part of Thai pop music (2001-2006), Large industrial size music company began to produce Hip Hop music as mass product. The most famous rap artists in Thailand at present are “The Gancore Club”, “Dajim” and the rap band “Thaitanium”. It may say that Bangkok teenagers who play skateboard are among the first group who adopted hip hop culture in Thai society for constructing their new trend. At beginning, Hip Hop culture limitedly distributed product by independent music company only in urban area through rap music. By the factor of new communication technology, the internet plays an important role among hip hop lovers due to accessibility to the information. When the large industrials size music companies produce Hip Hop music, Hip Hop culture becomes to be cultural commodities which are distributed and promoted by mass media.
