ผลกระทบของกระบวนการขัดเกลาทางสังคมต่อการเป็นภรรยาน้อย ; ศึกษากรณีสตรีในภาคกลางของประเทศไทย / เสาวนี วรรณวิทยาภา = The impacts of socialization process on becoming mistresses : A case study of women in the central region of Thailand / Saowanee Wanvithayapa
The main purposes of the research entitled “THE IMPACTS OF SOCIALIZATION PROCESS ON BECOMING MISTRESSES : A CASE STUDY OF WOMEN IN THE CENTRAL REGION OF THAILAND” are to study the process of socialization making women become mistresses, the affect of being mistress, to study various problems of mistresses and propose the solution of such problems. The concepts applied in this research are socialization, primary group, family, self-respect, and value. The research is based on the theories of intimateness, compliment, social exchange, psychoanalysis, and moral development. In terms of methodology, anthropological field work was used in the main by indepth-interviewing 9 women in total: 7 in Bangkok Metropolis, 1 in Pranakhorn Sri Ayuthaya province, and 1 in Kanchanaburi province. In this research, 7 hypotheses are put forth: 1 Pampering bringing up results in being mistress. 2 Lacking love and cozy life in family results in being mistress. 3 Working closely with married man results in being mistress. 4 Economic problems result in being mistress. 5 The value of monogamy results in being mistress. 6 Lacking self-respect results in being mistress. 7 Ethics slackening results in being mistress. The result of the research shows that 4 of these hypothese are accepted, i.e. 2 Lacking love and cozy life in family, 3 Working closely with married man, 5 The value of monogamy, and 7 Ethics slackening. This research also put forward the solution of problems encountered by the mistresses.
