แบบแผนความคิดและรูปแบบผู้นำของนายกองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบลในประเทศไทย / สุพจน์ บุญวิเศษ = Thinking pattern and leadership style of the chief executive of the subdistrict administrative organization in Thailand / Supot Boonwises
The purpose of this dissertation is threefold: firstly, to study the thinking pattern leading to the knowledge of the chief executives of the subdistrict administrative organizations (CE-SAO), and the CE-SAOs’ real and ideal leadership style with the CE-SAOs’ and five participatory groups’ point of views; secondly, to study the relevance of thinking pattern and leadership style of the CE-SAO; finally, to propose the ideal leadership model of the Thai CE-SAO. Field data were collected from 131 Thai CE-SAOs’ and five groups to totalling 7,708 participants associated with the Thai CE-SAO, and analyzed according to the objectives of this research. Research results revealed that most of the Thai CE-SAO had a thinking pattern which leads to the knowledge through system thinking, and the real leadership style- a combination of democracy and leisure fair. In addition, most of participants desired the democratic style in the Thai CE-SAO. It was also found that the Thai CE-SAOs’ thinking style model has association with the real and ideal leadership style. As a result of the Thai CE-SAOs’ ideal leadership style, from the participants’ point of views, it was revealed in two components as follows: a) initiating structure component composed of five factors: 1) quality of work, 2) administration and management, 3) vision and academic works, 4) self-confidence, and 5) basic philosophical principles in administration; and b) consideration component composed of five factors: 1) human relationship, 2) providing chances for workers to participate in organizational planning, 3) providing workers’ chances to perform jobs, 4) awareness on the participants’ attitudes, and 5) employing consistently philosophical principles of concerned with participants involved.
