The aim of research is to analyze the system of Thailand Quality Award's point value whether it is congruent with the managers' viewpoint or not. The methods and decision-making process of Thailand Quality Award (TQA) are based on those of Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA). The sampling groups of this research are manufacturing industries that have been ranked top 1000 by The Nation Publishing company. These manufacturing industries are divided into small, medium and large size by the number of employees. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is applied to investigate the priority of TQA's criteria and the difference of the managers' viewpoint in each sampling group on this priority. The data was collected from 32 mangers in 3 sampling groups by using questionnaire. The result of this research indicates that the managers focus on management system and the organization operation rather than the business result. This differs from TQA's system in which it has a strong focus on business result. Whenconsidering the priority of sub-criteria, it was found that there are the differences between the managers' viewpoint and TQA's system. Therefore, it can be concluded that the managers have the different viewpoint with TQA's system. When considering the differences of 3 sampling groups by using nonparametric statistic, it was found that the managers has the opinion in the same direction in most criteria except the sub-criteria in customer and market focus at 95% confidential level.
