วัฒนธรรมทางการเมืองของผู้นำองค์การบริหารส่วนตำบล ในเขตจังหวัดนครปฐม / พุทธิมน ศิงฆมานันท = The political culture of subdistrict administrative organization leaders in Nakhon Pathom Province / Puttimon Singkamanan
The objectives of this research were to study factors affecting political culture of subdistrict administrative organization leaders, political culture of subdistrict administrative organization leaders affecting administration in subdistrict administrative organization, and the opinion of the people on the administration of subdistrict administrative organizations. 134 subdistrict administrative organization leaders and 350 people in Nakornpathom province were the sample of this study. Questionnaires were used as tool for data collection and statistical analysis adopted are percentage, mean, median, standard deviation, chi-square, gamma and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that majority of subdistrict administrative organization leaders is male with mean age of 45 years, school attainment is primary level, and mean duration of stay in community is 39 years. Most of them have good understanding of their work and support people’s participation in activities of the communities. In studying political culture in terms of democratic level, the findings indicate that while leaders demonstrate relatively low democratic level, subdistrict administrative organizations have high democratic level in administration; but the people felt that the administration have medium level democracy. The findings revealed that work pattern plays significant role on the variation of political culture of subdistrict administrative organization leaders. The other factors namely duration of staying in the community, the understanding on his/her own career, participation in community activities, age as well as educational level do not show any significant impact on the variation of political culture. However, the political culture itself has significant effect on the administration. Moreover, political culture of subdistrict administration organization leaders varies in the same direction with the variation of the opinion of the people who live in the same area.
