The purpose of this research were (1) to develop authentic assessment model in e-learning by using situated learning (2) to study the quality of the model and (3) to propose authentic assessment model in e-learning by using situated learning. The samples of this research were separated into three groups. Group 1 consisted of five experts. Group 2 consisted of fourteen experienced teachers in e-learning in higher education level, 45 students in e-learning program of higher education opportunity enhancement of Chulalongkorn University, one teacher, two tutors, and one expert. Group 3 consisted of three experts. The research findings revealed that: 1. The developed authentic assessment model in e-learning by using situated learning comprised of two components were: (1) authentic assessment components, and steps of authentic assessment model. (1) Authentic assessment components were: objectives, indicators, criteria, instruments, and roles of teacher, tutor, student, and expert. (2) A model comprised of 5 steps were: (1) preparating to used authentic assessment and e-learning by using situated learning (2) creating e-learning activities to promote authentic assessment (3) practicing and exchanging knowledge of e-learning by using situated learning (4) assessing the tasks of students by using authentic assessment method, and (5) concluding the e-learning outcomes from authentic activities and presenting to public. 2. The quality of the developed authentic assessment model which obtained from implementing the model were: The score on self-efficacy were significantly higher at the .05 level.
