ปัจจัยที่มีอิทธิพลต่อการบริจาคเงินของพุทธศาสนิกชนวัดปากน้ำ ในกรุงเทพมหานคร / ธัญธัช วิภัติภูมิประเทศ = Factors Influencing the donation of money by Buddhists of the Paknam Temple in Bangkok Metropolis / Thuntuch Viphatphumiprathes
To carry out a case study in Paknam temple on various factors influencing the money donation by Buddhists such as sex, families peers, mass media, religious beliefs, and intelligent reasons. Concepts as well as theories applied in this study were comprised of socialization, religion, charity in Buddhism, intelligence ,and functionalism theory. Anthropological fieldwork or participant observation was used in data collection by application of various techniques of anthropological research such as ecological mapping, collecting data on live history, population survey, keyinformant interview, informal interview, general observation, and field notes. The main technique of research used in data collection for the proof of the hypotheses was the in-depth interviews of 20 Buddhists in Paknam temple, whose main characteristic was that they were regular donors of this temple during 1998-2002 out of their faith in Reverend Sod, the late abbot of Paknam temple, who devoted himself to the development of the temple, turning it from a ruined abandoned temple into a famous one in Thailand. The development involved not only in human and building improvement but also in the promulgation of Dhammakaya Buddhist sect. Even though Reverend Sod passed away, but the temple is still well known to everyone. Hence the more Buddhists came to the temple, and consequently the more money donated. The research findings were as follows : Female Buddhists made more donation than the male ones. Religious beliefs and intelligent reasons were influencing factors for donation. Moreover, because of supervising committees, the donated money was properly used, bringing the sustainable development of Thai society and Buddhism as well.
