To compare the consumers satisfaction with nursing care and nurses job satisfaction before and after using the triage model based on acuity. The subjects consisted of 60 consumers and 33 nurses in Emergency Department, Bangkok Metropolitan Medical College and Vajira Hospital. The research instruments were developed by researcher : The triage model based on acuity and two sets of questionnaires named consumers nursing satisfaction and nurses job satisfaction. The questionnaires were tested for content validity and Cronbrach's alpha coefficient. The reliability were shown as .89 and .96. The major finding were as follow : 1. The consumers satisfaction with the information nursing care after using the triage model based on acuity were statistically significant higher than before using the triage model based on acuity at the .05 level. While the competency of nursing practice and the psychological of nursing after using the triage model based on acuity were not statistically significant higher than before using the triage model based on acuity at the .05 level. 2. The nurses job satisfaction after using the triage model based on acuity were not statistically significant higher than before using the triage model based on acuity at the .05 level. But there were two items of job characteristics and three items of organization were statistically significant higher than before using the triage model based on acuity at the .05 level.
