To compare self management behavior at school of school-aged children with asthma before and after received supportive nursing system combined with computer assisted instruction, and to compare self management behavior at school of school-aged children with asthma between the group received supportive nursing system combined with computer assisted instruction and the group received routine teaching. Subjects consisted of 40 school-aged children with asthma who received treatment at allergy clinic, Out-Patient Department, Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health. They were assigned into group by matching age and sex. There were 20 patients in each group. The experimental instrument was the nursing care plan of supportive nursing system on asthma management and the computer assisted instruction title "asthma self management". The instrument for collecting data was self management behavior questionnaire which was content validated and tested for reliability at .88. Data were analyzed by mean, standarddeviation, and t-test. The major findings were as follows 1. The self management behavior at school of school-aged children with asthma after received the supportive nursing system combined with computer assisted instruction was higher than before received the supportive nursing system combined with computer assisted instruction at a significant level of .05. 2. The self management behavior at school of school-aged children with asthma received the supportive nursing system combined with computer assisted instruction was higher than those who received routine teaching at a significant level of .05.
