การแสดงของกะเหรี่ยงคริสต์บ้านป่าเด็ง จังหวัดเพชรบุรี พ.ศ. 2545 / บุษบา รอดอ้น = Dance of Christian Karens at Ban Padeng in Phetchaburi Province, 2002 / Busaba Rodon
This thesis aims at studying the historical development and dance of Christian Karens at Padeng village in Petchaburi province, 2002. Research methodology includes reviewing related documents, interviewing teachers performers, and observers at the dance events, observation of 3 actual performances, and practice with the teachers. Research finds that the performance has 4 different parts. Ram Tong, pairs of male and female dancers greets the audience, Ram Kartobmaipai performed by 4 pairs of dancers within the frame of 6 pairs of bamboo clapping poles. Ram Tam Kao performanced by 3 pairs of dancers presenting agriculture life. Pleng Klom Look performed by a pair of dancers who act as father and mother of a child in a cradle depicting love and the future life of the Karen tribe. Karen Dance focuses on foot steps, learning forward alternates with heavy and light punctuality. Karen dance is a part of community life worth presenting to public at large and should be preserved as an ethnic cultural heritage.
