This study aimed to analyze space utilization of millitary accommodation flats, Supreme Command Headquarters. By studying the millitary accommodation flats were constructed with the standard flat types that used in the present. There are three unit types of the flats, divided from the rank's officer. "Colonel" type. "Commission" type and "Noncommissioned" type. To find between the suitable area utilization and the designed unit area and finally reach suggestions for the flat improvement. The study collected data by using observations, documentary search, interviews and questionnaires. 92 units of the example including 16 units from the 'Colonel' type, 24 units from the 'Commission' type and 52 units from the 'Noncommissioned' type. The physicals of three unit types: (1) 'Colonel' type area is 121 m2., the unit has 2 levels; in the upper floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 balconies and 1 bathroom. In the lower floor has 1 bedroom, 1 kitchen, 1 bathroom and 1 hall. (2) 'Commission' type area is 91 m2., the unit has 2 bedrooms, 2 balconies, 2 bathroom, 1 hall, 1 storage room and 1 kitchen. (3) 'Noncommissioned' type area is 51 m2., the unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 hall and 1 kitchen. Furthermore, 'Commission' type unit plan is divided into small rooms more than 'Colonel' type and 'Nonommissioned' type. It found that (1) the designed zoning is well suited to the actual activities of the user. (2) The sized of flats were well designed with space utilization, but it found the problems about the sized of the kitchen and bathroom. (3) Some residents have adjusted the functions of the space in correctly such as in the 'Noncommissioned' type unit: most residents use the hall for extra kitchen area, some unit use the corridors for cooking, dining and resting areas. In the 'Commission' type unit, it found that some unit used the balcony's bedroom for cooking. In the 'Colonel' type unit, most residents used the hall for extra kitchen area, and some unit are rearranged the lower bedroom into kitchen, storage, dining room or resting room. Some units use outside the back door as cooking and washing area. (4) The opened space units like 'Colonel' type and 'Noncommissioned' type unit can use space more useful than divided space unit like 'Commission' type. The study suggested that (1) the alternation of unused areas can increase the area. (2) Every type should be designed with opened area rather than being divided into small room. (3) The units should be rearranged the funtions, 'Colonel' type unit should relocate the entrace to the hall, and the readjusted area of the kitchen, lower bathroom and lower bedroom. In the 'Commission' type unit, it should redesign and modify area of the kitchen, front bathroom and storage room to reduce wasted space, add more windows and reduce numbers of unnecessary doors. In the 'Noncommissioned' type unit, it should expand area of the kithen and bathroom for more convenient. In addition, it should separate the shower area from the toilet.
