To study the fee-based information services in special libraries in terms of the objective of service, service provider, and service fee, as well as the problems in giving fee-based information services in special libraries. The research result showed that the majority of the special libraries give fee-based information services according to the organizations' policy. The majority of the special libraries gave photo-copying services, which were books and documents photocopy, charging 0.50-10 baht. The second most of the special libraries gave database searching services, charging 1-10 baht per page for printing the data onto paper. The service provider giving the fee-based information services in special libraries was all the staff in the libraries, who gave other services along with fee-based information services. The users of fee-based information services were students, professors, and academics. The majority of the special libraries charged information services fee according to the type of service and the user. Fee-based information services in special libraries faced the problems of management, service provider, user, and service in low level. The problems with the highest mean and second highest mean were the non-readiness of the service utilities, the insufficient service-providing space, and non-readiness of information resources.
