การพัฒนาโมเดลเชิงสาเหตุแบบอิทธิพลย้อนกลับของสภาพการแก้ปัญหาในการทำวิจัยของนิสิตบัณฑิตศึกษา จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย / ประภัสสร พูลโรจน์ = A development of the causal non-recursive model of problem solving in doing research of graduate students, Chulalongkorn University / Prapatsorn Pulroth
The purposes of this research were 1) to study the status of problem solving in doing research of graduate students 2) to compare student learningstyles and lifestyles across 4 areas of study namely: social sciences
social sciences (education)
biological sciences
and physical sciences. 3) to examine the model validity and 4) test the model invariance across 4 areas of study. The research sample consisted of 428 Master’s degree students
Chulalongkom University. Data consisted of 6 latent variables: problem solving in doing research
time diaries
achievement
adviser’s role
lifestyles and learning styles; and 25 observed variables measuring those 6 latent variables. Data were collected by questionnaire having reliability for each part ranging from 0.70-0.87. Data analyses were regression analysis
MANOVA and LISREL model analysis. The major findings were as follows: 1. The major problem in doing research and the problem that was best solved was finding research topic. The minor problem was knowledge and ability in research method. 2. The students studying in social sciences (education) had higher means of lifestyles pertaining to emphasis on health
family
and working
as compared to those in other social sciences. The students studying in biological sciences had higher means of family orientation than social sciences. The social sciences students in education had higher mean of learning styles in the categories of independent
dependent and participant styles than other students. 3. The causal non-recursive model of problem solving in doing research of graduate students was valid and fit to the empirical data. The model indicated high correlation between adviser’ s role
learning styles and lifestyles and had significant direct effects on time diaries
which in turn recursived effects from problem solving. 4. The problem solving in doing research models of graduate students were invariance in model form across 4 areas of study. But they indicated differences of factor loading in the measurement of latent variables
effects of lifestyles
learning styles and adviser’ s role on problem solving achievement and time diaries
