Summary: The second meeting of the Consultative Forum on the Preparatory Process for the Third United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) was held in Geneva on 11 April 2000. It was a follow-up to the first meeting, held in Geneva on 22 July 1999. The Executive Secretary of the Third United Nations Conference on the LDCs (LDC-III), Mrs. Anna Kajumulo Tibaijuka, opened the meeting on behalf of the Secretary-General of UNCTAD
