This thesis has two objectives : to study the causes of the massacre of Jews during the Second World War and its influence on the Jewish holocaust literature ; and to analyze literary works in this genre. It is found that the destruction of Jews is the result of the differences between race, religion and economic crisis. Likewise, this genre of literature expresses the power of hope in helping mankind to fight against any obstacle. Jewish holocaust literature comes from million Jews’ tragedy ; therefore, its tone is serious and depressive because it speaks of various kinds of torment during the process of eliminating Jews. However, it does not mean to generate hatred or an attempt to revenge. On the other hand, its main aim is to cause peace, freedom and equality. From this reason holocaust literature also proves the power of literature.
