The purposes of this study were to research into current conditions and patterns of ecotourism in Khiriwong community including the future trend of the ecotourism there and to study the relationship between Khiriwong community and ecotourism and components or factors of ecotourism management. The problems were analyzed by taking various aspects concerning the community, its ecotourism management and effects of the management into consideration. In this regard, guidelines for ecotourism management in Khiriwong community were proposed. The results were that in terms of tourism conditions in this community, Khiriwong community was a cultural tourist atraction. There is Khao Luang National Park, a natural tourist attraction, nearby. The Ecotourism Club at Khiriwong managed the tourism there under the supervision of Gumlone Subdistrict Council. Three patterns of tourism include tourism studying the way of life in the community, tourism studying nature in Khao Luang and tourism studying both the way of life in the community and nature in Khao Luang. The future trend of ecotourism will be better. There were two types of relationship between the community and ecotourism. They were the benefits the community gained and the effects. In general, the physical effects outweighed economic, social and cultural effects. There were two components or factors of ecotourism management. They were the internal and the external factors. Other problems of the community related to ecotourism management were physical problems, economic problems and the limitations of Gumlone Subdistrict Council in managing ecotourism. As regards guidelines for managing ecotourism in Khiriwong community, it can be concluded that Gumlone Subdistrict Council should manage this tourism by organizing related groups of committees to take care of the four basic principles of ecotourism. They were management of tourist attraction areas, activity management and procedure, management of community participation and sustainable management.
