นโยบายและวิธีปฏิบัติในการรายงานข่าวโพลกับทัศนะจากแหล่งจัดทำและผู้อ่านโพล / อรพรรณ สุนทรกลัมพ์ = Policies and practices in poll reporting and opinions of pollsters and readers / Aurapun Sunthonkalump
The aims of this study are : 1) to study policies and practices of 3 main newspapers concerned with poll reporting. 2) to study pollsters' degree of expectation and gratification of poll reporting. 3) to study readers' degree of expection and gratification with poll reporting and the use of information gained. This research was conducted content analysis from 3 newspapers by Matichon, Thairath and Manager since 1 January 1999 to 31 December 1999, reporter and pollster depth-interview, and survey with a sample of 150 people selected from 6 groups of people : politicians, businessmen, teachers, government officials, self-employed people, and students. The findings of this research were : 1) poll reports were selected by newspapers according to subjects of the study, not the prestige of the pollsters. 2) the frequency of the release of the study was up to current situation. 3) poll reporting was presented in the style of news reporting using the inside pages. 4) popular subjects were politics, economics, social issues and educational issues respectively. 5) poll reporting was limited to only the points of interest of the newspapers whereas pollsters wanted all studied points to be reported. 6) readers required more accurate poll reporting, subjects of recent controversy, and a wider variety of samples. 7) readers are most gratified with subjects about politics and least gratified with educational subjects.
