To study process of nursing service management, nurse managers' attribute, service characteristics of nursing service management of professional nurses in industrial firms. Research subjects consisted of 18 nurse managers, and 40 nurses providing health service in the industrial firms, selected by cluster sampling technique. The LEAD self scale was used to measure the attribute of nurse managers. The researcher developed three interview guides to measure the process of nursing service, skill and supporting factors and scope of nursing service and one observation tool to measure the process of nursing service. All instruments were tested for content validity. The content analysis technique was used in data analysis. Major findings were as followed 1. The percentage of nurse managers in the medium and large firms who reported that they used all 4 steps, namely, identify risks and evaluate the opportunity, develop a business plan, determine the resource required, and manage the enterprise in the process of nursing service management in industrial firms, were 46.14 and 40.00, respectively. Where as the percentage of those who reported that they used only 3 steps and omit the step of manage the enterprise in the aspect of implement of control system were 53.83 and 60.00, respectively. 2. The majority of nurse managers demonstrated the leading characteristic as "Selling" character. Skills, which were frequently used, were relationship skill, technical skill, conceptual skill and social skill respectively. It was also found that work experience in industrial firms was the most important factor. 3. The scope of nursing service provided by nurses in industrial firms in the aspect of treatment of minor illnesses was at the "good" level, whereas, disease prevention, health promotion and rehabilitation aspects were at the "need to be improved" level. 4. The finding indicated that the process of nursing service, according to 4 phases of nursing process, provided by nurses in industrial firms were generally at the "good" level except in the phase of health assessment, which was at the "average" level.
