Coral reefs are very important resource for coastal tourism. Survey on coral communities using line intercept transect technique concerning coral abundance, coral damaged in certain period, number of boats and tourists, impact of anchoring on corals and corals recovery within one year at Lan and Rin Islands, Chonburi province, Thailand. Lan Island represented the area used in tourism all year, round while Rin Island represented the area used only five months a year, November to March. In each area two sites, shallow water, majority used by snorkellers and deep water, majority used by scuba divers, data were recorded and comparision on the conditions between coral condition of both site were made. Annual coral damaged within each area were difference. Lan island's shallow water show highest coral damaged, 1.82 % of live coral cover, Rin island's shallow water, Lan island's deep water and Rin island's deep water were 1.42, 1.01 and 0.64 % of live coral cover respectively. Probably there were the result of differences in diving activities, number of boats and tourist and time in utilizing there area. Anchoring in the coral community area could occasion damage caused direction damage or scratch coral as mush as 25% of the total number of anchoring in both area. These caused damage lesion surface the average of 23.95 cm² for single anchoring at Lan Island and 11.56 cm² at Rin Island. In both areas, recovery of coral colony damaged and broken could be at less than 10% of the total damaged. It could be reef damaged had recovered very less than amount of coral cover damaged in each area, considered to be very minimum in coral recovery compare to the amount damaged within the same period.
