การศึกษาพฤติกรรมส่งเสริมสุขภาพของครูในโรงเรียนประถมศึกษาสังกัด สำนักงานการประถมศึกษา จังหวัดนครราชสีมา / อรนุช อธินันทน์ = Health promoting behavior of teachers in primary school under the jurisdiction of Nakhonrachasima Provincial Primary Education Office / Oranoot Adhinan
The objective of this cross-sectional survey study was to determine health promoting behavior of teachers in pnmary school under the jurisdiction of Nakhonrachasima provincial primary education office.particularly in eating habits,physical exercise and use of health care system. The study sample was 634 teachers from 63 primary schools that selected by multistage cluster sampling. The data were collected with self- administered questionnaire during November 2000 to February 2001. Chi-square, Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal-Wallis H test were used to analyze the relationship among the studied variables. The result revealed that 67.5 % were female, 32.5 % were male. The teachers were in Health promoting school project (56.6 %), had chronic illness (55.2 %), normal body mass index (57.5%) and obesity(3.5 %). Regarding eating habits, 94.6% of teachers were in middle and high level practice except in 'drinking milk 1cup/day' activity that 42.5% were in low level practice. Regarding physical exercise, regular practice (25.2%), irregular practice (74.8%) due to 'lack of time' (85.9%), 'health problem' (11.2%) and 'unsatisfaction’(10.2%). In aspect of use of health care system, 53.1% of all teachers had physical health checked-up and oral cavity checked-up (52.6%). Regarding illness condition the teachers first selected health service from 'near/comfortable health center' (48.1 %), 'previous used health center '(30.3%) and 'satisfaction health center'(21.6%).There were no statistically significant difference of health promoting behavior between the teachers in Health promoting school project and the others (p > 0.05).The factors which related to health promoting behavior were sex, family income, perceived benefits and perceived self-efficacy. The factor supporting from person and perceived role in health promotion were significantly related to health promoting behavior for student. The results should be emphasized in the implementation of health program behavior for teachers.
