ความพึงพอใจในสภาพแวดล้อมที่อยู่อาศัยของประชากรไทย / ธีรยุทธ จงแจ่ม = Satisfaction of the residential environment among Thai population / Teerayut JongJame
The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between the demographic social-economic and environmental of characteristics of Thai people and their levels of satisfaction on their residential environment. Data used for this analysis are drawn from The General Family Survey which was conducted in 1994 by the College of Population Studies of Chulalongkorn University. There were 3,237 samples in total. Various concepts and theories were taken to be the guideline of this study and conceptual model were also included. Results of this study indicated that majority of Thai people were satisfied with their residential environment, however difference in level of satisfaction are also found. When using chi-square technique for analysis,it confirmed that there were age, occupation, education, house or land owner, a type of house, environmental problems such as water pollution, noise pollution or garbage problem, the disturbance from their neighbours and also the commuting time from to workplace had statistical correlation relationship with level of satisfaction. In addition by using the multiple classification analysis technique, it also confirmed land ownership, disturbance from their neighbours, water pollution, noise pollution and garbage problem had statistical correlation with the satisfaction on residential environment of Thai people.
